🎬 Lights, Camera, ACTION! is an unofficial, for-profit fanzine inspired by ALIEN STAGE, reimagining its iconic cast in a glitzy actor AU where the drama unfolds behind the scenes.This project spotlights the characters as if they were performers on a high-stakes set—complete with backstage banter, red carpet glam, and all the unscripted chaos that comes with life in the spotlight.From on-set antics to emotional monologues, this zine captures the magic, mess, and movie-making mayhem of your favorite characters when the cameras stop rolling.

[ Q: What is a zine? ]
A: A fanzine (commonly referred to as a zine) is a collection of art and writing revolving around a theme or concept. Merch is also included if a zine prints physically.

[ Q: What is the zine's rating? ]
A: The zine will be rated Teen! Interest checks will be polling interest for an NSFW side zine. Regardless, we will only be accepting contributors 18+ at the time of acceptance.

[ Q: What will the specs be? ]
A: The zine will be formatted in A5

[ Q: What characters and/or pairings can be included? ]
A: We will be focusing on showcasing Ivan/Till, Sua/Mizi, and Hyuna/Luka. Other characters can be mentioned/referenced, as well as having characters interact with each other.

[ Q: How many contributors are you looking for? ]
30 Artists, 6 Writers, and 7 Merch Artists, all of which are inclusive of guests. Merch artists are invite-only.

[ Q: What are contributor's expectations for pieces? ]
🖌️ Page Artists – Expected to complete either one single-page illustration or one double-page (spread). Only one of the two options is required.📝 Writers – Expected to submit one written piece ranging from 2k to 3k words.🎁 Merch Artists – Expected to design two merch items (e.g. prints, stickers, charms, etc.).

Yes! We're looking for Merch, Finance, and Manufacturing & Shipping moderators! Finance and Shipping mods are required to be 18+

[ Q: How will profits be split amongst contributors and moderators? ]
A: Profits from the SFW zine will be distributed evenly to all contributors and moderators. If the poll allows it, the NSFW side zine will be an add-on, and whatever profits made from the NSFW side zine will be distributed evenly to contributors who are participating in it, and also to the moderator team on top of the profits from the SFW zine.

Submit three sample links with at least one Alien Stage piece. Portfolios are encouraged but optional; it will be used to break a tie, if any. NSFW and trigger warnings have to be tagged accordingly.

Submit three sample links (two of them can be excerpts with a word count limit of 500, and one will be a fic with a word count limit of 3000). One should at least be a Alien Stage fic. Your portfolio can be your AO3 or FanFiction.net account (optional, but will be used to break a tie, if any). NSFW and trigger warnings have to be tagged accordingly.

🎬 MODERATORS WANTED
^{Step behind the scenes and help us keep the cameras rolling. Below are the roles we’re casting for—apply only if you’re ready for the spotlight (and the spreadsheets)!}[Merch Mod]
Responsible for coordinating with merch artists, tracking merch deliverables, and ensuring final files meet production standards. You’ll also assist in choosing product types, working with the finance mod on budgeting, and collaborating with the manufacturing/shipping mod for fulfillment.
Strong organization and communication skills are a must. Prior merch experience is a plus but not required.[Finance Mod]
Handles budgeting, payment tracking, contributor compensation, and helps set pricing for digital and physical sales. Works closely with the head mod, merch mod, and shipping mod.
Must be responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable using spreadsheets and basic accounting tools. Prior finance experience is highly preferred.[Manufacturing & Shipping Mod]
In charge of communicating with manufacturers, handling quotes and samples, overseeing production timelines, and managing shipping logistics (packaging, labeling, and fulfillment). Works closely with the merch and finance mods.
Applicants must be 18+, legally able to handle funds and shipping. Prior experience with group orders, zines, or small shop fulfillment is strongly preferred.[Zine Formatter]
Handles the layout and formatting of the main zine, including typesetting, graphic placement, and preparing files for both digital and print formats. Works closely with artists and writers to ensure polished spreads. Must be comfortable with comics typesetting for the different language (KR, CN, JP) as we will be providing translations in our PDFs.
Basic knowledge of design software (InDesign, Affinity, etc.) is required. Experience in zines is a big plus![Side Zine Formatter]
Applicants must be 18 years old and above, comfortable with NSFW and potential dead dove content. We expect 3 sample links of formatting work.
We also expect applicants to be comfortable with comics typesetting for the different languages (KR, CN, JP) as we will be providing translations in our PDFs.
Portfolios are encouraged but not necessary, but do note that it will be used to break a tie, if any.

Conduct
We will not be accepting any contributors or moderators who participate and/or condone NFTs, generative AI, or people who take part in harassment and bullying. We expect all contributors and moderators to be respectful towards one another.Whatever you ship in fiction will not hinder your application.Due to legal restrictions in the USA where we are printing the zines, NSFW lolisho content will not be permitted.
